TUNICA, Mississippi (July 23, 2007)—Get out your dancing shoes
and make your way to Tunica, Mississippi, for the second annual Celebrate
Life in Tunica Festival, October 28-November 2, 2007. The
Hollywood Casino in Tunica will be home to dancers of all types during
this week-long event.
Romie Smith and his Big Band will be back for a repeat performance at the Senior
Prom on October 30, 2007. Guests are encouraged to relive the memories
of past senior proms while making new ones with new friends at Celebrate Life. New
in 2007, Celebrate Life will feature “Tunica’s Largest Line Dance” where
line dancers from throughout the region joining together for one LONG dance line. After
the first demonstration dance, spectators will be asked to join the line stretching
from the Hollywood to the Resorts Casino.
Square dancers from around the region will demonstrate their talents at the “Taste
of the South” party on October 28, 2007. Those guests wanting to
learn the steps will have the opportunity to do so at the square dance
lessons on October 29, 2007. Country dance lessons will be offered on October
30, 2007, also at the Hollywood Casino.
Celebrate Life is sponsored by the Hollywood Casino and the Tunica Convention
and Visitors Bureau. Additional Celebrate Life in Tunica activities include
